Ponder This: ONE YEAR!!!

Well here we are. Somehow we made it to a year! I have a sappy post coming later with all my feelings about looking back on this year. But this one will just be about what my little princess is doing as of today.

Memorable moments:
-So much good family time occurred this month with our trips to DFW and Houston.
-Samantha got special visits from both grandmas other than our weekend trips.

-This little one has become OBSESSED with outside! She is constantly pointing at the door and asking to go out. She has a bunny friend that lives by our side porch that we go see about 20 times a day. She also tries to go out the doggy door to get it on a regular basis.

-Along with loving for me to open the doors to outside, she has learned to open and close doors herself. She obviously can't do so if they are fully closed, but she puts her little fingers under the door and just open and closes them over and over. Sometimes she purposefully closes a door so I'm trapped on the other side and then she will laugh. She's such a stinker!

-Pointing... the girl is ALWAYS pointing! It's wonderful. She's able to show me what she wants and expand her language skills by pointing and letting me label new items.

-Her second ear infection : ( This also coincided with her working on 3 teeth. She has only had 3 teeth up until this month, and now she's trying to double that number! As of now, one still hasn't made it's debut, but it's close. And it's funny because the one that hasn't come in is a central incisor and the lateral incisors are the ones already through.

-She's making a tongue click sound now. She saw me doing it one day and practiced all day until she got it. Now she does it all the time!

-Learning to "read." Samantha will turn the pages for me in books and point to different pictures for me to label them. There are some books she's so familiar with that she will actually make certain noises for the animals on the pages. She is a genius... just sayin'!
-Upgrade to a big girl car seat! This was more for Mommy than for Samantha. I was sick of dealing with the infant car seat and the annoying buckle clasp that it had. Sammie girl seems to like this one, too. For now at least!
