Two Months

How is my baby two months old already? Our new nephew Colby was born last week and it made it feel like just yesterday that we were in the hospital with a new baby. So much has changed since last month.

Here are some of the most memorable parts of the past month:
-Her "talking" and laughing
-The smiles she gives me when I first get her out of her crib in the morning
-Increased interest in toys, especially her elephant rattle
-Her first trip to church. She loves the singing time, but is less of a fan of the preaching ;)
-Our first Mother's Day. She drew me a picture and gave me flowers.
-Getting on new medicine for her reflux. She's now taking Prilosec and Axid and she's a whole new baby! She actually has fun and plays when she's awake now.
-She is only waking up once at night for feedings.
-While she's sleeping better at night, she is taking shorter naps during the day. That's a bummer for mom!
-Daddy's shingles... It was hard for all three of us when Daddy couldn't hold her for over a week. Praise The Lord that she started sleeping better that exact same week :)
-Taking her to Jollyville to meet teachers and students.
-Me officially resigning from RRISD to be a stay at home mom.
-She is starting to find her feet.
-She is doing very well with shopping trips. She usually sleeps through them. However, this is not the case for eating out yet...
-She is staring to bust out of her Swaddle Me blankets.
-Her first time sitting in her Bumbo seat. (Look at all those rolls!)

Stats:
Weight- 12 lbs 13 oz ... 95th percentile (yep, she's a chunkers!!)
Height- 23" ... 75th percentile
Clothing- some size 0-3 month, but mostly 3 month (remember how she was in the 95th percentile for her weight??) Headbands are also fitting better this month.
Diapers- still size 1

Things she seems to like:
-bath time
-elephant rattle
-bouncing and rocking
-playing in her play yard
-pacifiers
-light-up musical toys
-walks
-outside
-"playing" with her baby friend who lives in the mirror next to her changing mat... Aka her reflection
-massages after bath time
-naked time!!
-having mom and dad sing to her
-sitting up
-her swing

Things she seems to dislike:
-tummy time (more tolerant than last month)
-being held after a feeding. (This makes Mommy sad. I miss her snuggles after feedings...)
-sitting still
-being hot... She's always hot! I now live in an ice box to accommodate her.
-nail filing/cutting
-the process of getting dressed

And I'll leave you with some more pictures of my cutie this past month.
