1 Month

Samantha turned 1 month on Saturday. It's hard to believe a whole month has already passed. It feels like just yesterday we were snuggling in the hospital and coming home to all the newness of life with a baby.

Here are some of the most memorable parts of the past month:
-major difficulty with breastfeeding and the greatest sense of accomplishment when she and I got it!
-her first bath
-letting her meet many friends and family
-her first interaction with Lilly and all the licks that have come since
-seeing those moments when she started to actually LOOK at us
-her first real smile in response to us
-taking her to the hospital for blood work to ensure her jaundice was normal
-the reflux fight... We still haven't won this fight
-her first day out - lunch with Daddy at ChickFilA
-our first attempt at going to a friend's house... Didn't go so well.
-watching her roll over from her tummy to her back (I'm pretty sure she wasn't supposed to do this yet...)
-enjoying her cute sneezes
-graduating to size 1 diapers and out of newborn clothing
-development of baby acne :(
-the epic battle with sleep!!! (or lack thereof)

At 1 month she weighed 9 lbs 10 oz.

Things she seems to like:
-bath time
-sucking on EVERYTHING!! She will be a thumb-sucker
-bouncing and rocking
-light-up musical toys
-walks
-outside
-being held
-massages after bath time
-having mom and dad sing to her

Things she seems to hate:
-tummy time
-sleeping!!!
-sitting still
-running errands with mom
-heel sticks for blood draws (momma hates it more)
