Road trippin'

What better way is there to spend a Saturday than driving six hours with two little ladies under the age of two?? I know.  I know.  Right now you are probably trying to get over your jealousy.  It's ok to be jealous.  Listening to a baby cry and a toddler ask for help to navigate the tablet every three minutes all while being squished between their two carseats is pure joy!  It's only made more fun by beginning potty training one week prior to said trip so you get to stop regularly to avoid accidents in the car.
Oh so cozy! But at least the teeny lady is asleep here!
The reason for this grand adventure?  Our niece was having her first birthday party.  They also just left Houston this week to move to Colorado, so there's no telling when the next time will be that we see them. So a-driving we must go! It was fun to see the cousins play and visit with the grandparents.
Play time with all of the girls
Lala and Rebecca are fun... pants are not!
This little princess doesn't like to sleep away from her bed.  Luckily she DID fall asleep with me cuddling her.  This is the first time it's ever happened in her life!
Meeting Aunt Melody
Opening her present
Snuggles with Lala
Hanging out with Papa and Gramsy
We also got a brief visit with the Smith cousins while we met up at Chickfila and let the kids run and play.  After no accidents all day, Samantha may have had two IN the playscape.  Yep.  We were those people...

Despite the chaos, it's always fun to see family, especially since these kids are growing up before our eyes and only get so much time together to make memories.
