13 months

I was just telling Josh yesterday how different the first month of her second year has been compared to the first month of her first year. I've definitely preferred it :)

-There haven't been drastic changes this month. She has definitely increased her love of animals. I think it will continue to do so! She doesn't say names of animals, except for "dog", but she does the noises for bunny (hop hop- her favorite to do), elephant, lion, bear, fish... that might be all.
Playing with animal cards she got for her bday from our neighbor friends
-She's also saying and signing more. This is really the first month she's been doing the signing. She will sign "milk, more, come here." Her latest word is "yuck" and she will stick her tongue out with it. It's hilarious!!
-She has started trying to snap.  She's loved music and dancing for a while, this is clearly just the next step.
-We have just started brushing her teeth.  She got her 5th and 6th tooth this month, so it was time.  She LOVES having her teeth brushed!  That being said, she only wants us to do it for a few seconds and then she wants to take over... just like with everything else in life!
-Little one still isn't walking, nor does she seem anywhere close to walking.  I swear I'm going to still be carrying her around in a year at the rate she's going.  She just has no interest!
-She's been in an odd phase where she wants EVERYTHING on her head. She thinks it's hilarious!

-She was already completely obsessed with playing outside before and has only become more so!
She adores her mini playscape!
-EASTER!!! She was old enough to actually participate in some Easter events this year.  She loved so much of it, and I loved it even more from the Mommy side.  We went to church, did an egg hunt, had Easter brunch (my first time to cook this), and let her have her Easter basket.  She had a stuffed bunny in her basket that has quickly become one of her favorite toys.  She LOVES bunnies!

She liked playing with the eggs
She didn't comprehend the idea of putting them in the bucket
Once she discovered there were things inside the eggs, she loved this game even more!  (I gave Josh the job of putting things in them since we weren't doing candy yet.  Some had cheerios, others had things like leaves, paper, etc.  Those are some of her favorite things!)
-She got an odd virus this month where she ran a fever one day and then became COVERED in these red bumps all over her body.  They went away within a few days, but they gave me a scare!

She has started giving kisses : )
My child is a genius!  This was the first time she saw this puzzle and she put the first four pieces in the matching spots!  She hasn't wanted to play with it again, so we will see if she can duplicate her genius ; )
