Last week we got to FINALLY find out the gender of our sweet baby. We got to the doctor's office and had to wait FOREVER until we were finally called. We were the first ultrasound appointment of the morning, and yet our tech was 30 minutes late to work, so we just sat in the lobby waiting anxiously. When we were finally called back, she had the wrong paperwork and said we were going to do our NT scan today (the one that looks at Down Syndrome... that we had done 6 weeks prior). I quickly corrected her and said we were there for the anatomy scan and gender! Once she started scanning, she wasted no time and jumped right to the nether region to show us boy or girl. After telling us two or three times, "Well it's very obvious! There are the three lines," while we were trying our hardest to figure out what in the heck three lines meant, Josh finally asked, "So what does that mean?" And that's when we first heard it and knew the identify of our baby...
"It's a girl!"

The hardest part was not telling people all week while we waited for our gender reveal party. So many people were trying to get it out of us, trying to throw us off. But we both managed to keep it tightly sealed until Saturday night. Friends and family gathered at our house for dinner and to find out would it be a Bow or a Beaux. They all had to make a vote and wear either a bow or a mustache pin showing their vote.
Finally it was time for the big reveal! We took everyone into the garage where we had a pinata hanging. Grayson got to be in charge of busting it open. Unfortunately, we didn't have any great hitting utensils. I couldn't get the video to attach, but it is on Facebook. The one posted is the 2nd of two videos, actually. Grayson had been hitting it for a while before Brad finally gave him a big piece of wood to use. As you'll notice, it was a bit anti-climatic when one lone pink Starburst bust out of the pinata : )
