Being a mom of two is definitely a busy gig. (How do some women have upwards of six little maniacs to take care of?? They are truly saints!) Alas, the poor blog has taken a hit. There wasn't even a posting for K at 14 months and her 15 month mark was over a week ago. Please forgive me. Also forgive me if I don't remember exactly what she has done and what changes have occurred in the last two months. Here's hoping my kids don't read these one day and K feels neglected as the poor second child whose life was much less-documented. I love you both girls!!!
-K is getting good at using utensils. She wants a fork at almost every meal, and it's also a surefire way to get her to eat something she doesn't want; put it on a fork! She can really only handle a spoon with yogurt.
-We had an awesome hook up to box seats at a local circus. I had never been to a circus in my lifetime. After all that buildup, it was a bit of a let down and watching the animals being mistreated made me cringe. But it was still a very fun day with friends in a suite eating free popcorn!

-After a successful run at the beach at Thanksgiving, we finally gave the sandbox another try. The big one was TERRIFIED of sand for quite a while. But after little one climbed right in and started digging, the big one followed suit and now they both love it!
-S is truly growing into such a sweet child. This kid is ALL heart! She is always the first one to check on a friend or her sister when they are crying. She will just sit with K and hug her until she stops. She wants to snuggle every moment she's sitting down. She is just so loving and sensitive. I do have to be careful in how I discipline her though, because her little heart can get hurt if I'm too tough. She inspires me to be more selfless and loving just like her!

-Last month we had Dnow. It is an annual event for the youth at our church. This is our 5th year hosting. We had senior guys this time. S has requested we have "big girls" next year so they play with her! haha. The girls got to stay up late each night at church playing with friends.

| I LOOOOVE these girls and am not ok with them graduating and leaving this year! |
-K has become my determined climber. S never did a ton of this and is still scared easily by adventurous things. But not the mini one! She's on top of EVERYTHING!!!! Couches, tables, window ledges, the playscape ladder, toys, boxes... you name it! She's also quite the bulldozer. In six months, I'm sure she will be abusing her big sister regularly.

-We celebrated Valentine's day with the full shebang. There were plenty of heart-shaped and pink foods, presents, and fun!

-One day I locked K in the car. We won't talk about that one....
-We had a spontaneous visit from Pops that same day. He got to pick up S with us from her school. She loved that surprise!

| Always the diva! |
-J had been asking us to come visit him at work for a while, so we finally got to. It's a lot of work to find parking, check in to get a badge, and navigate the maze of cubicles to find him! The girls had fun bringing him donuts (aka eating donuts themselves) and playing in his chair.
-K finally learned to walk! She took her first steps about a week before big sis did, but she never had any real interest in actually walking. Still, she pretty much prefers to crawl. She will walk long distances holding someone's finger for support, but she won't walk more than about 10 steps on her own.
-S is learning so much recently. She surprised me by drawing this sun outside without me showing her how. She's definitely a smart girl and she amazes me regularly by the things she knows. After reading a book once, she usually has it memorized and can read it back to me the next few days. She reads like this to her sister often. They are truly so good for each other!
-K is quite the smart cookie herself. She is identifying many body parts, labeling animals with their noises, and already has over 25 words!
