Two Years / 4 Months

How? How did my (not so) little baby turn into a two-year-old?!? While the first year seemed to drag at times, this second year FLEW by!!

I'll have another post dedicated to my big girl, but this is our monthly update. Aside from our trip at the beginning of the month, things around here were pretty low-key. We didn't have any visitors or visit anyone else.

Samantha:

-She had a few egg hunts this month and LOVED them! When she discovered the candy inside of them later on, she loved them even more!
-This month she started calling us by our names a lot when J or I are in another room. I hear her on her monitor daily yelling for me to come get her... "Wane!!" She says "Josh" much better. We correct her to call us "Mommy" and "Daddy," but while chuckling under our breath.
-Potty training is definitely going better this month. She will usually tell us when she needs to go and has only had two accidents the last few weeks. (Both were while she was getting in trouble and actually a way of acting out).
-We've been enjoying this new spring weather and getting to go on daily walks, exploring different parks and just playing in the backyard regularly.
-Somehow she has managed to fall even more in love with her sister. Who knew that was possible? She has started calling her "Kassi Joy" all the time now. When she hears a song with the word "joy" in it, she gets excited because clearly it's about "Kassi Joy."
-Her language just continues to explode. She's using full sentences now and STARTING to get her pronouns correct. She's been mixing up "me" and "you" for a while now. ("Mommy hold you!!")
Stats:
Height: 25 lbs 4 oz
Weight: 35"

Kassidy:
-She has mastered the "raspberry" and talks up a storm!
-Her fingers are almost always in her mouth these days and she's starting to bring toys to her mouth when she can manage to hold them well enough.
-Baby chuckles have officially commenced! She's such a happy baby and shows it now with her laughs.
-I pulled out the Bumbo this month and she loves it! She can see the world at a whole new angle.

-She is a rolling machine now. This has drastically altered her sleep. Before Nashville, she was sleeping through the night consistently. She had just started to get back in the hang of it when she learned to roll over. First we had already moved her from sleeping in her carseat to directly in her crib and that took a few nights. Once she rolled over in her swaddle and couldn't move, that had to go too. Now she's rolling over in her sleep and waking herself up ALL. NIGHT. LONG. She is precious when she does manage to fall asleep on her stomach. I'd also like to point out that she rolled over six days later than her sister. Obviously my kids follow a very specific schedule!
